The Studio received an early gift last week! We found out that Adrienne had received First Place under the Toasting category in the 3rd Quarter WPJA competition!! WPJA stands for Wedding Photojournalists Association and each quarter they allow pros from around the world to submit work from the year in very specific categories. We submit work to the competition each year but First place has always eluded us!
The winning image is one from Bhumika and Casey’s spectacular September wedding at the InterContinental Hotel. Adrienne caught a touching moment during the toast and the judges loved not only the emotion but the overall composition – noting that the bride and groom were mirror images of each other.

This is the crowning jewel on what has turned out to be a very challenging year for Adrienne & Scott. It’s amazing that inspite of all struggle and chaos, she still manages to turn out award winning images. So - a toast to you my little red-headed buddy – I pray that 2010 brings you both good luck and good health!

The wedding took place during the first week of Scott’s treatment. I photographed events in between running him back & forth to the hospital. I can’t believe I made it through that in one piece!?!
