I am always excited to hear when someone is expecting a little one! Sometimes I even get a direct call from a very excited grandmother. This time, I learned about Ashley’s exciting news from her mother via Facebook! It’s fantastic that I can keep in touch with clients this way AND their mothers! I met Ashley & Chris a few years ago when they hired me to photograph their wedding in Topeka. I was excited when I learned that the couple had settled down in Overland Park.
Ashley studied graphic arts in school & has a wonderful sense of design. After having so much fun designing all of the stationary & paper goods from her own wedding, she started her own stationary company Something You Design.

The couple bought a cute little house just around the corner. When I showed up Sunday afternoon, I was greeted right away by the couples’ adorable feline friends. Of course this didn’t bother me, I love animals in all forms & I had quite a time watching these silly cats frit around the house! Max (pictured below) was incredibly curious about me.
Although he didn’t exactly ‘cooperate’ we still got a few great photographs that showcase his insaciable curiosity.
Ashley beams with the soft glow of motherhood…

Aren’t they incredibly adorable?

It’s a girl!! She expected to arrive around April 10th!

I think she did that stenciling herself!?
I love the baby’s nursery. The curtains are spectacular and the wall stenciling is amazing. My favorite picture is the one with the ultrasound picture out front. Adorable and great for documenting a time line too. I also really like the one where Ashley is by the curtains in the nursery.
What a great maternity session. So sweet.
Love your blog Ashley! So fun! http://thedomesticwannabe.blogspot.com/
