BIG things Happening at AMP this Year~

A few of you may have noticed that things have been changing a little bit around here.  It’s hard for me to believe that despite the daily struggles I have caring for my husband (he’s being treated for late stage  Lyme disease), I have somehow managed to find time to work on studio improvements.  This year holds some really exciting things! I am thrilled that I can finally announce a few things we are planning.  All of this will lead up to a *BIG* announcement we will be making this summer.  And trust me, it is something you won’t want to miss!

New Branding

You may have already noticed that we are sporting a new logo.  For years I wanted to find a way to incorporate a maple leaf into my branding.  I tried several variations of maples leaves but I was never happy with the results.  I’ve always designed everything myself but this time, I knew I needed help.  The talented Heather of Fresh Ink Press took my ideas & developed the new stamp that is now appearing on our images & promotional material!

Newsletter- Celebrate Each Season {special offers!!!}

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful base of clients here in Kansas City as well as clients throughout the country.  The blog is a great way for us to regularly provide fresh images & interesting reads for our visitors.  But for those who don’t have the time to keep up, we want to bring that information directly to you.  PLUS each newsletter with contain a special offer, from discounts on portrait sessions to savings on fine art prints for your home!

Contest for Comments- Prizes Every Month!

I launched the new blog (AmaplesBlog.com) around this time last year.  I knew it would take a year or so to have enough relevant content to begin holding contests.  Honestly, I can’t keep up with a blog by myself.  It’s a tremendous amount of work (& pressure) to provide interesting content daily.  But the time is finally right!  I’ve hired a writer so this April we are beginning our first monthly blog contest.  We plan on giving something away EVERY month for the individual who comments the most.  Help us take the blog to the next level!  And enjoy the benefits of these monthly contests & remember to share the word with friends.

Wedding Couples Rewarded for Comments on their Wedding Post

Last year we rewarded our brides for each comment they received on their wedding posts & this year we are planning to do the same thing.  But this year we will add $1 to the couple’s credit for each & every comment they receive on their post.  Last year one of our brides racked up 71 comments on her wedding post using Facebook as an outlet to promote her post.  We anticipate that this year our brides will receive twice as many comments & as last year!  This can mean a free fine art print or canvas for simply promoting your wedding images!

New User-Friendly Proofing Site

Last but certainly not least I am very excited to offer our clients a new proofing system that should launch mid to late April (keep your fingers crossed!) The new system features drag & drop simplicity to make it easier to mark your favorites & select images for books.    It’s impossible for me to list the new features, we’ll all just have to wait until the system launches.

In the meantime, we’ve moved proofing access to the blog.  Just select ‘Client Resources‘ from the grey menu bar at the top of any blog page & navigate to what you need.  We have options to view proofs or a book design, request digital files, make a payment online as well as subscribe to the newsletter.
