A few years ago these crazy girls named Sarah & Melanie (of Whitebox) decided they wanted to get together with other photographer to share ideas & have fun-

Not at a workshop… just a gathering of like-minded people with much fun intended!!  So why not a retreat?? Let’s take a week off (uh-hum- laptops we’re always nearby) & RELAX.  Learn a few things we’ve had a difficult time discovering on our own.  Reinvent ourselves…

So they set out to create the first Photogirls Retreat & rented a *sweet* house that sat perfectly on the beach in the Outerbanks of North Carolina.  A total of eleven professional women photographers from around the country were invited to share ideas & have a blast!

These days we offer each other year round support as well as a super fun retreat once every year.  These fabulous women travel shooting destination weddings across the world.  I highly recommend each of them if we are booked for your day.

MEET THE CREW

Well, there’s me, Adrienne… I love this shot Sarah took of me at our 2009 Retreat! (see below)

And this lovely lady is Brooke Mayo based in NC but covers some fabulous destinations worldwide.   I love our silly little phone calls whenever we need advice!

Here is colorful Khara Plicanic out of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Jena Murray who currently resides in Portland.  She is a walking encyclopedia- I can sit & listen to her for hours!

Kellie Kano out of North Carolina. This was the first time I met Kellie & we had a blast together!  I look forward to working with Kellie in some projects down the line.

Melissa Jill based in Arizona.  Melissa’s blog is inspirational.. I think she got all of the PG’s blogging regularly!

Michele M. Waite is a super cool chic who spends her time in Bellingham, WA.

Rebecca Peters who is right next door (in Olathe)!  She’s my Kansas City Photogirl!

Stacey Kane hangs along the coast of Maine.  She had a wealth of information to share & always so easy to talk to.

Tania Lezak lives on a nice spot of land in North Carolina, I imagine she rides her beautiful horses all day…

Arden Ward is another Southern belle hailing from Birmingham, Alabama.  She is quite a spit-fire!

Mary Basnight is another North Carolina girl.  I had a great time getting to know her at our last retreat!
