a note from Adrienne
My first three word phrase was ‘Do it myself.’
When I began building this business in 2003, I wanted to do everything myself. I slaved night & day designing (& redesigning) the perfect the website, creating marketing materials, editing files, designing albums, managing the office & handling the details of being incorporated. Oh and not to mention, the occasional photo assignment! It took me several years of trial & error to realize I just couldn’t do it all.
In August of 2006, the Kansas City star published a front page article dubbing me ‘The Master of the Moment’ & my life quickly began to change. With increasing interest in my work, I knew my business model needed to change. I hired Ashlee a month later & I quickly wondered how I had ever survived before? I immediately began training her to second shoot with me at weddings. Now we are so in-sync with one another, people often mistake us for sisters- sometimes twins! Which is confusing because I am a red head & she is a blond?
Rob officially joined operations in Fall of 2010 as an associate photographer & my go to technology guy. He’d been shooting weddings & portraits in Kansas City for many years under his own studio. But after the birth of his first child, he gave up shooting for a while & chose the glamorous life of raising children instead. He is once again feeding his passion for the camera & accepts a limited number of weddings for the studio.
Blair joined the team in 2011, shortly after the birth of my daughter, Emmaline. She spent the last seven years working for the government & was eager to have a hand in something creative. I quickly learned that Blair was a valuable asset that I couldn’t live without! She is a master at keeping things organizing & you’ll always find her with a smile beaming from ear to ear. She manages our studio & keeps our clients happy.
We hire new assistants & bring on interns as needed to help with shoots as well as manage album orders & digital services.
