♦ I love elephants- smile a lot & have an accent.
◊ I grew up in sunny South Africa and I am sure that has a lot to do with my love for nature. It takes my breath away and then fills me with peace! Anything from a huge mountain, sparkling lake… just seeing the ocean will make me stop in my tracks.
♦ I married my high-school sweat heart and never in our wildest dreams did we think we would have 4 children… a gorgeous son and 3 beautiful daughters. Yet now, I can’t imagine life without them… It would be so quiet…mmmm…quiet, what does that sound like again???
◊ I love tickling my kids. There is nothing in this world like the sound of a child belly-laughing!
♦ I have always been fascinated by things that are different – people with weird jobs or who live in unusual places and have crazy hobbies! I am never shocked when someone has a wild idea. I am always excited and ask thousands of questions. I once tried to persuade my husband that we should buy a run-down Bed & Breakfast on a remote island in Alaska…only accessible by air or water, and it snowed there 6 months out of the year! It was so cheap! Needless to say, he doesn’t have quite the same outlook as I do…but I did manage to get him to back-pack through Europe and I figure that B&B will still be available when we retire one day.
◊ My favorite saying is “Normal is boring!!!”
♦ Photography has always amazed and intrigued me. I love looking at pictures and seeing, or even better, feeling the emotion and the beauty that was captured. I also find myself wondering what was going on behind that scene, where it was taken and how it was put together….was it totally spontaneous or was it cleverly engineered?!
◊ It wasn’t long after I received my degree in Information Technology that I realized I had picked the wrong profession. Yet, I gave it my best for many years! The money was great, but I always had this nagging voice in my head that I should be enjoying every day of my life. Now, for the first time in a long time I am excited to be a part of something that has always interested me!!
