Joining Adrienne’s team in 2010 as an associate photographer, Rob brings with him over 15 years of professional experience — skills that span the gamut from editorial photojournalism to wedding
photography. Rob has a
keen and predictive eye for emotion, composition, and detail. Constantly on the move, his knack for being in the right place, at the right time, has made him a popular choice by clients who desire a more documentary approach to their big day. But timing is only the first piece of the puzzle. On the big day, his ability to artistically capture the beauty and levity in all of the day’s circumstances makes him an invaluable part of the wedding day.
Like Adrienne, Rob learned photography as early as 8 years old when he designed pinhole cameras with his dad. From there, he learned about photography by shooting 35mm and medium format cameras. In 2002, he made the conversion to digital and never looked back.
In 2006, he met Adrienne at Starbucks while both of them were coincidentally conducting client consultations. “I remember thinking she was too young to be a pro. But before I had a chance to introduce myself, she slid her album in front of me and started selling herself. The southern charm, impeccable artistry, and palpable confidence mesmerized me — I was instantly a huge Adrienne Maples fan! The very next year, I hired Adrienne to photograph my own wedding — I could think of no better artist to document my day …” In 2008, shortly after the birth of his daughter, Rob decided to shift his priorities away from his successful studio to a new full-time career as a stay-at-home-dad. Today, Rob accepts a limited number of weddings for the studio. Contact Rob today!
“… Because Rob is so unobtrusive during spontaneous moments, he absolutely nails the sweetness and emotion we experienced.” Kerry Doan
